With the Vespa World Days Festival Interlaken proofs once again that this small town is keen on big events and eagerly hosts many big events and festivals. The newest addition to the festival & adventure capital of Europe are the Vespa World Days. Squeezed between the Greenfield Rock Music festival and the Trucker Country Music festival this Motorbike festival is sure to become a fantastic festival taking place from the 15th to the 18th of June 2023 on the Interlaken airfield.
Vespa World Days Festival
The annual meeting of the international Vespa scene is to be held in Switzerland again in 2023, at the unanimous request of the Swiss Vespa Club and the affiliated clubs. These so called Vespa World Days will take place from Thursday the 15th to Sunday the 18th of June 2023. Around 6,000 Vespa enthusiasts will gather at the meeting for a colorful get-together on the Interlaken Airfield (Flugplatz) which is known as one of Switzerland’s best festival locations with the annual Greenfield festival (Rock Music, 35000 people) and Trucker & Country Festival (Country music, 25000 people) as the poster childs.
The first international Vespa meeting took place in Paris in 1954. A year later the first “Eurovespa” in San Marino. In 2007, this event was renamed “Vespa World Days” (VWD) and has been held under new management at various locations in Europe to this day with participants attending from Asia, Australia and the American continent too.
In addition to reaching the destination together on their vespa, a varied supporting program and good catering play a central role at the «Vespa World Days». The “Vespisti” will exchange information about their journey to and around Interlaken, engage in DIY projects, workshops, drive their Vespa through the stunning Swiss Alps, buy spare parts, have fun together and of course discover and enjoy the cultural and culinary highlights of the respective venue.
The “Vespa World Days” are primarily aimed at the international Vespa scene, the mechanics, tuners, stylists, mods, scooter boys, at drivers of modern as well as vintage Vespas – simply at all Vespa enthusiasts worldwide.
