Crash Landing on You (2019-2020)

This is a popular Korean Netflix series that tells the story of a South Korean heiress who accidentally paraglides into North Korea and falls in love with a North Korean army officer. With paragliding as a main theme running through the entire Series it makes complete sense that a lot of it was filmed in Interlaken, the paragliding capital of the world. The series features many locations in the Jungfrau region, such as the Jungfraujoch, Grindelwald-First, Eiger Glacier, Kleine Scheidegg, Iseltwald, Giessbach, Lake Brienz, Lake Lungern, and the Panorama Bridge Sigriswil. Band of Brothers (2001)

This American award winning war drama miniseries based on the book by Stephen E. Ambrose was filmed in both the Interlaken and Unterseen centre, at the shore of the lake of Thun and at the Grand Hotel Giessbach (just like Crash landing on you) . It follows the exploits of the Easy Company, a unit of the 101st Airborne Division, during World War II. The series features several scenes in Switzerland, especially in the Bernese Oberland, where the filmmakers recreated the area around the Obersalzberg, Hitler’s mountain retreat.
