Both are part of a larger complex located on the former airfield in Wilderswil, promising to enhance the region’s adventure scene with a unique blend of indoor activities. Bad weather days just got a whole lot better with these new and exciting indoor activities.
Orbit Interlaken: Climbing and Bouldering
Orbit Interlaken is a state-of-the-art climbing and bouldering gym designed to cater to all skill levels, from beginners to advanced climbers. Led by Nicole Steck, wife of the legendary mountaineer Ueli Steck, this facility aims to foster a community where enthusiasts can not only climb but also socialize and plan their next outdoor adventures. The gym will feature modern infrastructure, allowing for competitions and events to take place, making it a hub for climbing enthusiasts in the region. The opening is planned for the 29th of March 2025 with a free open-house trial day.

Pända Freestyle: Trampolines and Skate Park
Pända Freestyle, also scheduled to open on March 29, 2025, is a vibrant addition to Interlaken’s indoor adventure scene. This freestyle hall offers an extensive range of activities, including trampolines covering over 1000 square meters, a skateboard and BMX area, and a multisport zone. The facility is designed to accommodate all experience levels, from beginners to athletes, ensuring everyone can enjoy the thrill of freestyle sports. Pända Freestyle is the brainchild of former professional freestyle skiers Cyrill and Jonas Hunziker, who aim to pass on their passion for movement and fun to the next generation.

Shared Facilities and Community with Outdoor Interlaken.
Both Orbit and Pända Freestyle will share a common entrance area with amenities such as cashiers, food and beverage options, toilets, and changing rooms together with Outdoor Interlaken, the regions prime outdoor activity organiser. This setup encourages interaction among visitors from different disciplines, fostering a lively community of adventure seekers. The complex also includes a cafe, bistro, and bar, providing a comfortable space for socializing and refueling after a day of activity.
Accessibility and Events
Pända Freestyle & Orbit Interlaken will offer regular operating hours starting from Sunday, March 30, 2025, with special events like a “Skate Night” every Friday. Visitors can park at the nearby Park & Ride Matten until July 2025, when on-site parking will become available. The facility is easily accessible by public transport or bicycle, making it convenient for both locals and tourists.
Opening Party Orbit & Panda Interlaken 29th March
The official opening party of the Orbit climbing hall and Panda trampoline, skate & freestyle park is planned for Saturday 29th of March 2025. During this day you can try all new facilities for free and get a good feeling about this amazing new indoor activity facility.
Be aware this is a soft opening with an even bigger official opening party on the 21st of June 2025 when Outdoor Interlaken has also moved in and settled itself in their new outdoor activity base.
